How you Can Support Spirit of the Herd
There are many ways you can support Spirit of the Herd, from sponsoring a pony or making a donation, to using easyfundraising when making a purchase from your favouite brands. Read on to learn more.
Sponsor a Pony
We have 9 horses and ponies available for sponsorship, so whether you love a cute Shetland or a cheeky cob, there’s a pony that’s just right for you!
When you sponsor a pony, you’ll receive a sponsorship pack that includes a certificate, a rosette, and pictures of the pony. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to visit your pony on select days throughout the year. Pony sponsorship also makes a fantastic gift for a friend or family member.
Make a Donation
We rely on donations from our generous supporters to keep our herd happy, healthy and fed. In the winter months, our feed bill increases dramatically as there is less grazing available. As well as this, many of our ponies – particularly the oldies – require extensive care and veterinary treatment, which can be costly. By making a donation, you help us continue providing for our beautiful horses and ponies.

If you’d prefer to give something tangible that helps in the day-to-day care of our ponies, then check out our Amazon Wishlist for some ideas! You can choose from a wide range of horsey essentials, from supplements to support our residents’ gut health, to solar panels, rechargeable batteries and electric fence posts to keep them safely contained!

Buy a Cake (or Two!)
Some of our volunteers are fantastic bakers. From time-to-time, particularly in the summer months, we set up a stall of freshly-baked treats outside the sanctuary. From Victoria sponge slices to vegan brownies, there’s something for all of our sweet-toothed supporters. We sometimes even have doggy treats!
